HOW IT PLAYS
Ashbloom is text-based and real-time.
You play by moving through the game world and interacting with other players and NPCs by describing what your character says and does.
You play the game by acting out what your character would do.
Quick tips:
- Click on a direction to walk that way.
- Click on a NPC name to make it follow you around the world.
- Use a NPC name in speech or emote to make it respond to you.
- Press the LFRP (looking for roleplay) button to let other players find you.
- Type 'help' for more commands (or check the menu).

LORE
The old world ended thirty years ago.
The world did not end in fire or flood. It came apart slowly - one quiet crack at a time - until the lights went out and never came back on.
They called it The Fall. Cities became graveyards. Governments vanished. The desperate turned on each other while the world burned quietly. The first five years - the Dark Years - took more lives than the collapse itself.
But humans are stubborn. Thirty years later, children have grown up never knowing the old world. And in the wreckage, something unexpected took root - not just survival, but connection.
Laughter around a fire.
A flower given without reason.
The brush of fingers in the dark.
Welcome to The Hollow. A settlement built from rust and hope, where strangers might become friends - or something more.
The old world is gone.
What you build from here is up to you.
- Reclaim the ruins.
- Rebuild a home.
- Rekindle what was lost.
Survive alone if you must. Together if you're lucky.
